Pipe notcher in action

I’ve been cutting out allot of notches for a big ADA handrail project in North Portland.
This Harbor Freight notcher is by no means the best, and I’ll be tuning it in more before I consider buying a new one. It got the job done with a bit of finesse required.

The drill bit has made about 25 cuts now and showing signs of needing a new bit.

Operating the pipe notcher

Here’s a few other pics showing the fitup of these pipes after a light amount of post pipe notching cleanup.

I’ll have the whole handrail project completed this week and write about it in the following days.
Thanks for reading.
