full time metal fabricator/artist

An easy way to keep track of your tools in a shared metal workspace

I make stencils, but I cheated a bit and bought some stencils from an art store in downtown Portland on NW Glisan street called Blick that has a nice assortment of stencils.
A little bit of copper and black spray paint later and my tools are stenciled!

All my tools are easily identified as a Duck Roll Design tool.
I do this because I’m happy to share my tools when someone needs them; it’s so helpful when my tools back where they belong when I need them. Because they are easy to identify.
This seems to be working great so far.

Six month update, everything has been holding up very well, and I’m tough on my gear, a few items have needed an additional stencil, something easily done when I’m stenciling a new tool addition to the inventory.
Thanks for reading. More to come.
