When drilling metal, you can’t just push really hard and go for it. You have to constantly lubricated the drill site as well as keep an eye on the coloring of the metal shavings to make sure the hole being drilled doesn’t get too hot. Once the flakes start turning dark purple, that means the temperature of the drill bit is about to start overheating and dull the bit.
